"Doing the L.A. Thing" - (Directed by Jamie Burton-Oare, Music Supervision by Alex Wurmbrand) premieres to packed theatres at the American Black Film Festival in Los Angeles, Ca. The tight, and talented cast (featuring Jamie Burton-Oare, Mylika Davis, Keely Watson, Alem Brhan Sapp, Marc Ewing, & Josh O. Nelson) presents the story of an acting troupe that moves to L.A. for pilot-season auditions. While learning about "the business", they learn even more about life, friendship, and their craft. Winter 2007 - Supernatural Drama Scored

Alex completes his score to "Tiny Handprints" - (Directed by Saqib Siddik). This suspenseful drama features Mark Belasco, Meg Wolf, and Sundia Kayden in a powerful story about how a supernatural experience can change the lives of a young, expectant couple to bring healing. Fall 2006 - Two Scores Premiere at L.A. Film Festivals

"The Life & Death of Amos Rigby" - (Directed by Arthur Baum, Scored by Alex Wurmbrand) premieres at the International Student Film Festival of Hollywood. In this romantic comedy about a high-school play, drama runs high on and off stage between actors, Max Schneller, Elina Selezneva, and Craig Donnelly. Although jealousy is aroused, hearts are won, while serenaded by woodwinds and strings in a classical, chamber music score.

José Asunciòn is selected to discuss and screen his film, "Veronica" - (Scored by Alex Wurmbrand) at the LACMA/Muse - Young Directors Night. Just how much can go wrong on a hot, L.A. night when a young, electro-phobic woman purchases a malfunctioning fan? This film features a tense, string quartet score as well as electrifying sound design, by José Asunciòn.

Summer 2006 - Alex Scores Animation

Alex completes the score to "Max & Hannah" - (Directed by Jake Kahana). Two children learn how to share and "play nice" in this cute, animated short. Bouncing along to a jazzy score with violin, guitars, and bass, its playful character is reminiscent of Stéphane Grappelli's work with Django Reinhardt.
